Our Mission

So here is where we would ordinarily place our mission statement. Nothing wrong with missions, but they are better suited for astronauts.

At MCT, we have goals. We have aspirations. We are on a…quest. Yes, a quest. Don’t you just love that word, quest? It’s so much more…theatrical. We invite our young performers and their families to join us on this quest. A quest to be educated, to be entertaining, and to deliver the wonderful world of performing arts to as wide an audience as possible. Exposure to the arts lifts our collective spirit as a society and bridges diverse populations through creativity and splendor. Our quest is collaborative. Our quest is inclusive. Our quest is comprehensive.

Join us in our quest. You’ll see that there is more than one way to fly to the moon.

Can we talk about the “Children” in Miami Childrens Theater?

Let’s talk about the “C” in MCT. It’s the most important letter in the acronym…that’s why it’s in the middle. Kind of like how the middle letter in a monogram is always bigger than the ones on either side. The C in MCT is for Children. May we just say, these are not your typical children putting on a show. We are all for our little teapots and tots who sing about how stars twinkle, but the children of the Miami Children’s Theater have a unique passion for their craft and work very hard to earn their place in our productions. They are as varied in their backgrounds and experience levels as they are in their ages. Come to a show sometime…you will join the many audience members who come out of it saying “Wow…these are CHILDREN?”
